From broom rider to Laundry CEO. When I got home tonight I noticed that JD was wearing black dress socks with his tennis shoes. I told him I like the shoes, but come on the black socks with the tennies. He simply replied well my Laundry CEO is on a break. I thought it was hilarious. But really he does have clean white socks I personally think he just puts on the first pair he sees :)

Match Maker, Match Maker

Make me a match. About a year ago, I set these two up when we went on a group bowling date on a random Monday. Angela was the intern at my work and Jason is one of JD greatest friends and mine too :) They just got engaged tonight and we couldn't me happier. They are perfect for each other. We love you!

Hello to all my blog readers, I know it has been quite some time since I have last updated my blog. To be honest I am sick of clicking on to my blog and seeing Save Second Base. A lot has happened since I last updated. We moved into our new house (pictures to come soon, well actually when I clean my house first) We had our first thanksgiving at our new house, lots of Holiday parties, Christmas in Utah/ White Christmas. New Year's with The Roeder's and The Dwyer's. And we are finally back to reality. BTW, I found lots of great pics from High School and will be posting tonight when I hook up my scanner. Be Excited, there are some blackmail ones! Until then....

Save Second Base

This was my favorite saying of the weekend. I don't have pictures yet but wanted to give you an update on the walk. It was AMAZING! I only got a few blisters, but like they kept saying blisters don't need chemo. It was very hot and on Saturday I was a little overheated and thought I was going to faint. We were so proud of our selves for finishing that all three of us cried as we cross the finish line. This last weekend the Arizona 3 day raised 5.7 million dollars for breast cancer research so thank you all for your generous donations. We are going to do it again next year either in Arizona or San Diego, so if anyone is interested is walking with us let me know, its is an amazing experience. I will post pictures soon.

On another note we close on our house FRIDAY! So I will take pictures and post soon. Well as soon as I track down the charger for my camera :)

Thanks again for all your support and well wishes for the walk. We needed them!

It's Almost Here

I can't believe the walk is actually here. In 12 hours I will be leaving my house to start the walk. Don't worry my camera battery is dead and my charger is in Tucson. I will find a way to charge it. or just get a disposable one (i can't remember the last time i bought one) Keep us in your prayers!

This would be what my husband said to me as I was leaving for work on Wednesday. Apparently I was being a bit of a pain in the rear. This would be because our toliet has issues and over flowed and I wanted him to fix it because I was going to be late for the dentist. I was also upset because I didn't want to put the towel and the rugs in the washer at the sametime and JD did. They all went in together!

Later that day at work Amanda comes out of the closet with a broom and askes me if I need it. I hadn't told anyone about JD asking me about the broom. So this would be the second time someone asked me if i drove a broom. It was actually funny, but I guess I was in a bit of a "witchy" mood. I think its because I had to go to the dentist.

I am alive. Here are some pictures of the house, it was a little dark so you can barely see them but I thought it was better than nothing. We are on the home strech - End of October. The 3 Day

My Mom, Karen Freed and I have all committed to walking in the Breast Cancer 3 Day walk. In November, we will be walking 60 miles over 3 days. In addition to committing to walk 60 miles we have committed to each raising $2,200.00.

Breast cancer has affected both of my grandmas. Grandma Roeder died in 1989 from breast cancer and shortly after in 1992 Grandma Barbara was diagnosed and is now a survivor. Stephanie made my guest book for my wedding and some cookies for our welcome bags. I feel so privileged to have some of her work. Rain or Shine

This past weekend my Mom and I went to Seattle to celebrate Becky's Graduation. After being delayed for 3 hours and made friends with everyone in the bar I finally made it to Seattle at 1am on Saturday morning. When I could finally get out of bed - man its hard to wake up when its rainy outside. We went to see Becky before graduation and take a tour of her sorority house. 95 girls live there, could you even imagine? I had to see the Theta house but only got this picture.

We got out of sitting in rain for graduation, phew. We went shopping a little and went to the cutest store The Land of Nod. I think its better than Pottery Barn Kids. I think I know and I don't have any kids, yet :) Then we were off to have lunch with Farner. We wanted seafood and she took us to a great place The Crab Pot. Thanks Farn!

Saturday night we went to PF Changs, I forget how good it is.

On Sunday we went to Gramps house (Becky's Grandpa) I now call him Gramps too. He lives right on Puget Sound it was beautiful. I made Sterling take us on a canoe ride and that lasted about 5 minutes but check out these great pics my Mom got.

I have known Becky since the day she was born and look at her now. My mom and Jody (Becky's Mom) were sorority sisters and my Dad and Jeff (Becky's Dad) Were fraternity brothers. So we all go way back. Becky we are so proud of you! Thanks for letting us celebrate with you I had so much fun.

On Friday they started framing our house, so exciting! I almost crashed my car when I drove past I was so excited. I was honking the horn all the way down the street. We just like 1/2 mile down the street from where our new house is being built so we get to see everytime we are coming or going. I took a ride on my trusty beach cruiser in the blazing heat just so I could post pictures for you all to see.

Do My Parents Live in the Country

With in my first hour of visiting my parents in Utah I hear Baahhh Baahhhh. Don't worry my parents neighbors are going "green" and have sheep in the backyard to eat down the weeds. The previous owners of that house had a rooster that crowed at 4:45am every morning. I had to take a picture.

After taking pictures of these crazy sheep. There is a pick up truck with a couch on wheels attached to it. They were doing donuts in the church parking lot behind my parents house. I was freaking out I thought the little kids were going to go flying off the couch, I am sure there were no seatbelts.

Graduation

As I am sitting here updating my blog and getting frustrated with HTML. I hear all these fireworks. The High School right by our house had graduation tonight. I go out on the balcony and I see fireworks and hear a band playing and kids screaming. How things have changed 7 years later.

Almost everynight JD does the cooking, he even does the grocery shopping. Well I have been feeling guilty and have tried to cook in the last week. Last week I tried to cook cod, bad idea my house still smells like nasty fish. Friday night we ate chips and salsa for dinner, I did actually make the salsa love the kits from Trader Joes. Well this is where the Eatin' burnt suppers the whole first year comes in. JD had done something to the pork chops in the fridge and asked me to cook them for him. Well I think the whole neighborhood can smell the burnt pork chops. I am convinced its all the lemon pepper he put on them. I cut off the burnt stuff just before JD walks in the door to ask me what I have done. He could smell it down the road. Needless to say he ate it and packed some for his lunch tomorrow. I think I need to take some cooking classes. I also had to call my mom twice to ask her questions about how long to boil corn and how to make sticky rice.
